28 Autumn/Fall Nail Colours With A Twist

Which means, it's time for fall nails!   If you live in colder climates you're probably pulling out your sweaters and jackets as the temperatures cool.  And if you're looking for some new color ideas as the season changes then here's some winter nail color inspiration with a twist!  Take a look at this selection of not-so-traditional autumn nail colors.  Just remember, November nails don't have to be all dark mauves and deep wine reds.  Even if Dior Nuit is calling your name!  Why not add a pop of color to your winter wardrobe?!

Ciaté in Big Yellow Taxi
There's a color for all of your moods here.  Opaques neutrals, sunny yellows, bright greens, winter blues, traditional reds and of course, Jack Black by Butter LONDON. All of the brands listed are 3, 5 and 7 Free Nail polishes - meaning they are all formulating without the toxic trio and other harmful toxic chemicals.

ZOYA Sonja

Let's begin with traditional, seasonal colors.  Reds are just right for every occasion.  Dior Nuit, a sumptuous, rich and glossy wine red will always be my number one (and most expensive!) fall polish.  While the oh, so popular Tang Bang, by Smith & Cult from their Fall 2017 lineup, which is a wonderful creamy, burnt orange is a close 2nd.  If you don't feel like spending Dior dollars on your nails, then Butter LONDON's Ruby Murray is almost as stunning for half the price!  This year I'm throwing the beautifully bright red Sonja by Zoya into the mix for a pop of color!

Zoya's Sonja looks like a pinky red in the bottle above, but check it out here in the sunlight. It's actually a gorgeous 'orangey' red!

Priti NYC in Bachelor's Buttons
From the brilliant blue Bachelor's Buttons to the dusty blue/grey Bitter Buddhist, these tones can be the perfect compliment to your winter outfits.

Add a splash of sunshine to your look with these colorful options.  Bright yellows and greens look great with a black outfit. It doesn't have to be summer or Easter to wear any of these colors!

And this wouldn't be an autumn nails post without the obligatory dark somber shades, like Kings & Thieves below, which is an enchanting opaque dark ink blue. I cannot do midnight blues and blacks unless my nails are short. I just feel like Cruella D'vil painting my long nails black! But I do, on the other hand love, love opaque neutrals.  Which have been all over the catwalks in 2018. Again, if you're not willing to pay for Dior then ZOYA in Eastyn (above) is very, very similar to Palais Royal for half the price.
