HOW TO FIX A BROKEN NAIL WITH IBD FILLER POWDER (+ SUPERGLUE!)

SO, SOMETIMES I don't always practice what I preach, and this week I clean forgot to use my cuticle oil for 1 or 2 days. AND I left the house with bare, naked nails. A big no, no with nails as long as mine!

This Is Why I Love IBD Nail Filler Powder

I forgot to use my cuticle oil for a couple days, AND I went out with bare, naked nails. Yikes! I always coat my nails in layers of strengthener, harder or polish to protect them. So, obviously I broke a nail. But as they say, every cloud has a silver lining, and now I get to blog about one of favourite, truly amazing nail products, IBD Nail Filler Powder. Normally I use it alongside IBD 5 Second Brush-On Gel Resin, but I was all out and had not got to the nail supply store. Double disaster! Lucky for me I had some superglue in the drawer. If you've broken your nail and it's not completely detached from your finger and you don't want to file ALL your nails down, then read on! Or, you can just scroll to bottom to watch how I fix my broken fingernails

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove polish from the cracked nail

2. Gently buff the area with a sanding block taking care not to put too much pressure on the broken side

3. Put 1-2 drops of glue on/in the crack and around the area
4. Before the glue dries tap the nail filler powder over entire area you have glued
5. Brush off excess powder +
buff lightly to smooth out
Repeat this step until your nail feels completely secure + stable. With this break I had to repeat 3 times. But 2 will work with a smaller crack

GOOD AS NEW!
